UN: Al-Qaeda May Exercise ‘Strategic Patience’ in Afghanistan Before Planning More Terror Attacks

Al-Qaeda’s short-term strategy in Afghanistan appears to be one of maintaining safe haven for its core leadership, according to a new report by a U.N. monitoring team.
