Pakistan, Iraq, Vietnam Again Escape Blacklisting for Religious Freedom Violations

Religious freedom advocates welcomed President Obama’s long-awaited nomination on Monday of an ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom, but there was also disappointment at the decision not to blacklist several countries for particularly severe violations, including Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria, Syria and Vietnam.
